Description
This photo was a difficult one to achieve. I started with a 2 mile hike through and along side the cliffsides in Zion Nation Park. Once I reached the peak, I hiked around and looked for the ideal viewpoint. I wanted to have Angels Landing in the view as well as the Virgin River below. I arrived just as the sun was up and shining, but decided to wait over an hour until the shadows were sitting in a more ideal place. Utilizing the zone system I was able to capture all of the detail in the highlights and shadows as I envisioned.
